In this short story independent series, Satu Bumi Jaya works with community members from across Indonesia to tell their stories of life, challenges, and successes, and highlights the rich and diverse context of Indonesian society as a whole.

From the Forest to the Table
Promoting Timurasa products and community-forestry programming. Satu Bumi Jaya supported UKAID’s MFP4 program to develop a film about community-based market approaches to forestry, as well as a promotional film for their partner Timurasa.
Difabel Kerja
A disability employment learning series for Indonesian businesses. Working with a range of disability groups from across Indonesia, SBJ ensured full participation in the research, design and development of a visual learning series aimed to support persons living with disabilities further integrate and gain opportunities in the Indonesian workforce. A look back over 30 years of Natural Resource Management programs by USAID in Indonesia. Satu Bumi Jaya supported USAID and the US Embassy Indonesian on the challenge of developing a succinct and engaging retrospective film to look back over 30 years of natural resource management programming in Indonesia.
Visual Portfolio of Sumatra Programs
Closing ZSL’s Indonesian ‘Kelola Sendang’ project saw Satu Bumi Jaya develop and array of films, photographs and books to celebrate and document the outcomes of this Sumatra-based land management program.
Visual Communications Portfolio
SBJ worked with GGGI across various locations, programmatic areas and stories to create a visual portfolio of green growth interventions taking place across the Indonesian island chain.
Animations
Examples of animation work undertaken by Satu Bumi Jaya focused on issues such as human rights, women’s empowerment and disability awareness.
Wheelchair Users Voice
Adaptable wheelchair impact stories from Bali. Supporting the technical research outcomes of adaptive wheelchairs and their impact on wheelchair users, SBJ worked with a number of storytellers across Bali to explain their experiences utilising such innovative and adaptive wheelchairs.
Renewable Energy Films
Supporting some of Indonesia’s leading community-level renewable energy parties, Satu Bumi Jaya worked with schools and individuals across the island of Lombok to tell the stories of their successes implementing renewable energy activities in their schools, businesses and communities.
Visual Longitudinal Study
SBJ’s original flagship project was the development of a longitudinal study across two years focused on recording then developing a range of films and stories covering the process and outcomes of health, education and other government frontline service provision in East Java and NTB provinces.
